The investment, made in 2005, has gone a long way in financing the building of the Heldrich, a New Brunswick conference center, and hotel by the non-profit organization by the name New Brunswick Development Corporation.

The Company has been in constant tout by Stephen Sweeney, the state Senate President, as the best example of what happens when state money is used in funding private firms to execute large-scale construction. The New Brunswick Ensemble is part of the modelling of the Development Corporation in Atlantic City., a sister firm that expects to watch over more than $200 million in private and public funding – including the $19.5 million CRDA money- in the development of the Chelsea section of the city Gateway project.
